And the plot thickens...

Meanwhile, the tomes referenced above come from 2nd edition era Dragon Magazine. Talented Greyhawk scribe, Robert S. Mullin wrote two must have articles in the vein of Ed Greenwood's classic Pages from the Mages series, on several spellbooks of Greyhawk's notable NPC wizards. I highly reccomend you acquire these issues or re-read them sometimes if you already own them. They consist of:

Dragon Magazine #225
"Campaign Classics: Three Greyhawk Grimoires"

Vecna's Ineffable Variorum
New Spells:
Depth Perception (Level 3)
Vecna's Conflagaration (Level 5)
Turn Lightning (Level 6)

Iggwilv's Nethertome
New Spells:
Iggwilv's Lightning Cage (Level 9)
Iggwilv's Timeless Sleep (Level 9)

Acererak's Libram
New Spells:
Acererak's Blackstone (Level 9)

Dragon Magazine #241
"Arcane Lore: Greyhawk Grimoires II"

New Spells:
Tsyiln's Wondrous Carriage (Level 4)
Jaran's Prismatic Blade (Level 9)

The Pyronomicon
New Spells:
Keraptis' Fantastic Famulus (Level 1)
Keraptis' Flaming Missiles (Level 1)
Keraptis' Flamecone (Level 5)
Phantom Stalker (Level 6)

Slerotin's Manifesto
New Spells:
Slerotin's Fortitude (Level 9)

There you have it, tons of great lore and magic to add spice to any Greyhawk campaign. However these books all pale in comparison to 'the Codex' but that book is in a league all its own. I'm sure we'll see more of that one in the future...
